FUTURE HOME: National U.S. Marshals Museum

The future U.S. Marshals Museum will be located in Fort Smith, Arkansas, on the banks of the Arkansas River.

The U.S. Marshals Museum will:

  • Honor the past and future service of the U.S. Marshals
  • Celebrate George Washington's vision of the U.S. Marshals Service
  • Create a national museum where visitors explore our nation's history through the lens of the U.S. Marshals Service
  • Engage visitors with interactive experiences throughout the three galleries
  • Serve as a springboard for conversations relevant to our nation today
  • Inspire visitors to live their lives with justice, integrity, and service
  • Recognize the 200-plus Marshals killed in the line of duty
  • Form educational partnerships with local, regional, and national institutions.

The mission of the U.S. Marshals Museum is to become a national center for the dissemination of the history, legacy, and importance of the U.S. Marshals Service, inspiring appreciation, respect and support for their ongoing service to the nation.
