Facilities

Fort Smith features diverse convention, event and meeting facilities throughout the city. Our largest convention facilities host up to 5,000 people, or can be combined to host even bigger multi-venue events throughout the city. Small to large-sized local, regional and national conventions and events are held here year round. Fort Smith’s primary convention spaces are:

• The Fort Smith Convention Center (plus additional meeting & banquet space at the adjacent Holiday Inn City Center and the next-door Courtyard by Marriott in historic downtown Fort Smith). Walkable distance to dozens of unique local restaurants, shops and attractions in the historic district. Six miles from the Fort Smith Regional Airport, 3.8 miles direct line from I-540. 
• The Phoenix Expo Trade & Event Center - New in 2010, and the largest convention and event space in the area. A convention hotel may be built adjacent to this facility in coming years. 
• Kay Rodgers Park Expo Center - Expo Center, fairgrounds, stadium and arena. Home of the Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair and the Old Fort Days Rodeo. 

We also coordinate with the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith to host events on its campus. If you are planning an outdoor event, Fort Smith’s riverfront park facilities are an ideal and picturesque location for festivals, concerts and rallies.

We have approximately 2,000 hotel rooms in the city, including 446 convention-quality rooms and suites within three blocks of the Convention Center. Our region is known for its unique heritage and historic attractions, its charm and natural beauty, and its affordability for both the many groups and tourists who visit and the thousands of families who call Fort Smith home.
