Join avid hikers, Dorothea and David Justice, for a hike to see some very beautiful and secluded areas. Explore areas seldom seen and experience a little of the park's history in celebration of the anniversary of the arrival of the Civilian Conservation Corp Boys. See parts of the Devils Den Trail, Fossil Flats Trail and Yellow Rock Trail, as well as many areas where there are no trails. There will be some scrambling over big rocks and some hill climbing. This fun hike will entail roughly six miles of rugged terrain with many bail-out places. Pack a lunch and take plenty of water. Free.

Experience the Park at West End ferris wheel and carousel. The ferris wheel is from the 1935 World's Fair in San Diego, Calif. The hand-painted carousel was built by the Bertazzon Co. in Treviso, Italy. You can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Boomarang Diner or stop by the Double-Decker Bus concession stand serving everything from hot dogs to candy. The park also features a video arcade and lots of open space for parties. No outside food allowed. $1 per person per ride.

This one-of-a-kind collection is on loan from local friends of the Fort Smith Public Library.
