Fort Smith Air Show
Fort Smith has a rich history in aviation and plays host to one of the premier air show in the country every other year. The 2008 Fort Smith Regional Air Show will take place on a most appropriate set of dates, May 17 & 18, which is Armed Forces weekend.
The United States Air Force Thunderbirds and the United States Army Golden Knights parachute team are the headline acts for the 2008 Fort Smith show which will also feature a wide range of civilian acts, numerous static displays and a demonstration by the 188th Fighter Wing of the Arkansas Air National Guard.
Free parking and free shuttle service to the Air Show site at Fort Smith Regional Airport will be available from Southside High School, Ben Geren Regional Park and Phoenix Village Mall.
The Fort Smith Airshow is one of the largest of its kind in the country with no admission charge and promises to be bigger and better than ever, paying tribute to our armed forces and every aspect of aviation.
The 2008 Fort Smith Air Show is presented by the 188ty Fighter Wing, Arkansas Air Nat’l Guard, the 188th Fighter Wing/Fort Chaffee Community Council Inc., and Sam Phillips Jr.
