Attractions : Alfonso Trent House

Alfonso Trent House On the edge of the Belle Grove Historic District is a private residence now known as the Alfonso Trent House. In World War I days, it was the boyhood home of the famed black musician and bandleader who reached his peak in the 20's and 30's. Trent's group played in big-city nightspots and was reportedly the first black band to play on nationwide radio.
